Maia Negre is a self-taught watercolor artist and surfer of seven years.   Raised in Northern California and born of Chinese and French decent,  Maia began creating both art and music at a very early age. In 1999, Maia moved to Capitola, California where she experimented with a variety of art mediums at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA, and began focusing on watercolor painting.   This 23 year-old's artwork often reflects the sunny vibrancy of the central coast, her deep appreciation for the ocean and a warmth for the community.

Maia does commissioned art pieces for clients' homes, from their favorite surfing and ocean scenes to landscapes. She also sells handmade gift cards to local shops.
